April is a freelance illustrator and sometimes artist who lives and works in Honolulu. A fifteen minute bike-ride splits her time between a day job working on curatorial projects at the Honolulu Academy of Arts and her home studio. April takes mental note of all the fruit trees along the ride, wind whipping through her hair, and stores these locations for her collaborative GoGlean project with Chetan Mangat. Art ideas are generated while coasting, and sometimes deflate during the uphill lengths... a selection of the resulting works are documented on this site—with always more to come.
